What Is Going On?

If you haven't already noticed, there is a spiritual war going on and our enemy is engaged. Many Christians are not even aware of the important implications of this war. As a result they are either sitting on the sidelines or have crossed over to the enemy's camp unknowingly.

Some may believe that the enemy is the ACLU, Freedom from Religion, liberal colleges and professors, public schools, etc. but THEY ARE NOT. They are willing foot soldiers in these battles controlled and manipulated by the Great Deceiver, Satan.

The enemy, Satan, has made many inroads into our public schools, colleges, media, public discourse, politics,  congregations, pulpits and seminaries.

Teachers and professors are often willing accomplices in teaching a Lie but others have been intimadated into it. Some pastors and ministers will soft pedal the truth for fear of "rocking the boat" because they know that some in their congregations are sitting on the fence or have already "crossed over". So they preach what "tickles" the ears of their congregation.

Paul described this struggle in his letter to the Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 12: "for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".

This is a struggle between good and evil, between God and Satan. Man is being used by Satan as his vehicle to accomplish his goals.

There are numerous battlefronts in this spiritual war:
  1. The Creation - Evolution Debate
  2. Individual Truth versus Absolute Truth
  3. Moral Relativism versus Absolute Morals
  4. Pluralism
  5. Tolerance
  6. Materialism
  7. Same sex Marriage
  8. Blotting out of all vestiges of Christianity and the rewriting of history
Some of these battles lead to other issues. For instance, if evolution is true then we are just another form of animal struggling to survive. If we are ruled by the survival of the fittest, then suffering and death have no consequences and life is de-valued.  This leads to abortion, euthansia, etc. If the origin of life just happened by the random chance of certain chemicals mixing together then the Creation Story and the Fall is just a myth and there is no sin and no need for a Savior.

I hope that I have caught your attention. This is a situation that has eternal consequences, one that we cannot afford to sit on the sidelines nor cross over to the enemy's camp. We will be exploring each of these battles in greater detail in future blogs.
